1. Motor torque is directly proportional to the:​ current across the motor.​

2. Since there is no resistance on the machine when only the wires are touching, the back torque is due to the current caused by the stator of the motor. The back torque which is the Lorentz force then opposes the motion because of the minimum resistance applied on the motor.
